Eagle Hook AH1 Fall Restraint Mobile System for use by workers engaged in repair, maintenance or snow removal atop of transport trailers. Developed to prevent workers from falling from transport trailers that are 102 inches wide and fitted with a top rail. The system prevents falls by restricting workers from traveling to a roof edge. Ergonomically designed and made of lightweight aluminum to enable one worker to lift the rail assembly to the trailer roof without difficulty. The Eagle Hook can be installed in 5 minutes or less. The spring loaded cross member and slide assemblies attach easily to the top rail of the trailer. The slide assembly rollers glide on the edge of the roof skin providing a mobile fall restraint system allowing the worker to be protected while moving from repair to repair. Unlike fall arrest systems, the Eagle Hook is a fall prevention system. It allows mechanics a full range of motion and keeps them from the edge of the trailer eliminating any potential for a fall. The system allows mechanics to reach the edge of the roof from their knees to conduct repairs. The Eagle Hook does not require a fall arrest plan as the system prevents falls. The Eagle Hook complies with ANSI Z359.0-2007 and CSA-Z-259.16-04. The Eagle Hook comes complete with mobile rail and cable assembly, end stops, full body harness, restraint lanyard and 6 foot retractable web lanyard. End stops included for use when doing repairs within 4 feet of the front or back of the trailer. Video-based training program and safety manual provided with each system. All workers who use the Eagle Hook Fall Restraint System must be trained following the instructions prior to use.
