SmartSetSafety Smart Post safety railing system. Reusable temporary guard rail post for attachment to wood, steel or concrete surfaces in residential and commercial construction operations. Ideal for use on roofs, open decks, stairways, walkways, ramps, balconies and bridge construction. Made from high strength injected molded plastic and engineered to be very strong yet weighs only 5 lbs. System is very easy to install. Posts are spaced a maximum of 8 feet apart. Install the post with four fasteners to sub floor, then slide 2x4 rails through the post. Over lap each post by 1 foot and then hand tighten the thumb screw locking them into place. System does not require cleating the horizontal rails saving time during erection and dismantling. Thumb screw locking mechanism also provides easy removal of rails when used at hoisting area of an elevated surface. SmartSet posts significantly reduce installation and removal time when compared to fabrication of conventional wood guard rails. No more cutting 2x4's to proper height and anchoring together. Thumb screw fastening system is safe from damage by protective shroud. Smart Post will accomodate horizontal top rails, mid rails and toe boards. Documented testing verifies that the Smart Post meets or exceeds all applicable industry standards.
