SAPS SAP42D Safety Anchor Post System For Use In All Concrete Construction. The post is surface mounted to the concrete. The SAPS Safety Anchor Post has a built-in stem coil rod that extends from its base. The protruding coil rod is threaded into the embedded insert. The SAPS post rotates clockwise by hand until it is secured. An attached tightening arm provides final tensioning to the concrete slab. The SAPS SAP42D is a temporary guardrail post with a swivel D-ring near its base that is an approved fall arrest anchor. The swiveling D-ring provides fall protection while installing mid and top rails and for leading edge tasks. Provides an anchor point every 8 feet. The tubular post exceeds OSHA's 200 pound side load requirements. The SAP42D has a unique rail clamping system that pinches the rails against the post rail bracket. Does not require cleating of rail sections. The vise clamp greatly reduces installation time of rails and does not damage wood rails allowing re-use on the next job. The rail brackets on the post rotates for ease of installation. Includes kick plate bracket when needed. The average time to install 32 feet of SAPS guardrail including rails is 2 to 2-1/2 minutes. Your fall protection needs can be met by ordering your precast with preset embeds. Ideal for precast girder beams for bridges, precast box girder bridge segments and precast culverts for easy access and water proofing application. Use Hilti or Simpson drop-in anchors for cast in place use.
