Latchways R20 PRD 68202-00 LUS Personal Rescue Device integrated harness system for self rescue, size Large.  The Latchways R20 Personal Rescue Device (PRD) is a self rescue harness that includes a built-in controlled descent device.  The lightweight, unobtrusive rescue device is contained in a small backpack attached to a full body harness and is designed to be used with an anchor point.  It provides a fallen worker with an OSHA compliant harness as well as the ability to lower themselves up to 65 feet to a safe location below.  In event of a fall the PRD suspends the user.  The worker simply pulls a cord located on the shoulder strap of the harness releasing the Aramid rope descent system allowing it to slowly lower them in a controlled descent.  The R20 PRD provides a simple means of self rescue requiring no third party intervention to be activated.  No specialist training is required as the PRD is worn in place of a standard full body harness and activation is achieved by simply pulling the release cord.  The PRD provides a means of assisted rescue if the fallen worker is injured.  A built-in secondary release mechanism can be activated by the rescuer with the use of a rescue pole.  Ideal for those who work alone at heights, inspectors, crane operators, plant maintenance personnel and for anyone that the option of a self rescue is safer than the possibility of suspension trauma in the event of a fall.  The harness is very comfortable and light weight.  The tangle free design makes donning simple and quick.  Quick connect buckle leg and chest straps for ease of use.  The PRD weighs less than 8 lbs.  The system has a small profile so it won't get in the way when you are working in tight quarters.
