Martor 12201 MARTego Retractable squeeze lever safety cutter. MARTego is a member of the Martor Smart Knives family of safety cutters. The fully automatic blade retraction system, activated by a squeeze lever, provides a high degree of safety because the blade retracts even when the squeeze lever is totally depressed. The blade on these cutters retracts safely into the handle as soon as contact is lost with the material being cut or the cut is completed, even if the user keeps the squeeze lever depressed. Under normal use, the blade will always retract keeping the user's hands free from accidental cuts. The application of good design and functionality is immediately evident on first sight of the MARTego which can be seen to incorporate an exceptionally stylish and ergonomic shape with the practicality of an aluminum body and soft, non-slip grip. When not in use, the MARTego's integrated lock button prevents the squeeze lever being accidentally applied. Its squeeze lever and ergonomic design make it ideal for repetitive tasks and will help reduce fatigue. The MARTego incorporates a newly patented rotating blade retraction mechanism which makes it possible to cut plastic tape and pallet wrapping as well as cardboard and corrugated packaging. Ideal for cutting cardboard box adhesive tapes, plastic or paper bags, stretch and shrink wrap, sheet material, cardboard, and more. Convenient blade change with installed magnet to prevent the blade from dropping out during replacement. Comes with number 92 double edge 4 use blade for longer blade life.
